Before "Smart Yard Healthy Gulf" campaign was launched, research was conducted by the University of South Florida, Center for Social Marketing, and survey results showed Gulf Coast residents regarded Master Gardeners as trusted sources of information on lawn care. The Master Gardeners are excited about sharing their time and expertise in helping Gulf residents learn proper techniques and timing of home fertilizer application. Fertilizing at the right time, with the right amount will save the homeowner time, money, and protect our Gulf.
